Phil. 4:10 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Think really hard on this one. Tell me the last time that God did not keep one of His promises. I think that most of us would say that this is an obvious answer. But do we really believe it? If we really believe it and have complete trust that He will continue today as He has for some 6000 years of written history, then what makes us doubt that this would end on our today or tomorrow?
There is no one sitting in front of the atomic clock saying "This is the hour that it is going to get off time". Why would we even think for a moment that God would change? Our minds are so prone to wander and so easily distracted. We must keep ourselves in the Word, filled with His promises, so we can battle the evil one when he comes to say that "today is the first day that God is going to let someone down, and that someone is going to be you".
Of course he doesn't say it that way, or we would be able to see that coming from a mile away, but it should be that blatant to us if we think about what he is trying to do.
Our God is good. Our God is BIG. He is kind and He delights to show His favor to those who love and trust Him. If He can know the number of hairs on all the heads in the world, He can certainly know what needs to happen in each one of lives today and tomorrow. Do you know how many hairs are on your own head right now? If you don't, then you are not qualified to give yourself what you need today.
I am thrilled to know that there is One who takes such an interest in me, personally, that He only gives what is best and He only gives what I can handle.
