Filled with the fullness of God

Eph. 3:14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

What would it be like to be filled with ALL the fullness of God? We need to pray, like Paul, that we would be strengthened with power through His Spirit, so that Christ would dwell in our hearts through faith, that we would be rooted and grounded in love, and that we would be able to comprehend all that the love of Christ is.

The exciting part about this; if we ask God to do these things in our hearts, He is faithful to give them to us, more abundantly than we could ask or think, and it is His power that works inside us to accomplish these things for His own glory. He really wants to do and be these things in our lives, but He is waiting for us to ask Him to bring about the changes necessary for us to BE Christlike.

I want to know, in more than just a passing way, the love of Christ and be filled, not part way, but to over flowing with the fullness of who God is. If, and when God allows me to be this person, then that is when "old things are past away, behold all things are become new" takes place. I am not talking about salvation, but sanctification. Now the light will be on full power.

OH Lord, grant to me the desire to be all that you would have me to be, to love others in a way that only you can, to hate sin and love righteousness, to see your face, in all Your glory, and then see for the first time the disparity between all that the world has to offer and all that you are. Only you can bring about the change, but it is your desire that all would come to repentance, and then live as a bright lights for the world to see that there is a difference between the children of Light and the children of this world. Lord please change me. You are strong and mighty to save.

Jude 24 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
