Little Blue Fish

I have to give you something to laugh about.

Grant is normally very thoughtful in his answers and doesn't often answer quickly. Some of his medication they have had him on has a side effect of short term memory lose, I think:)

All day he would ask me "what day is it?" and I would say "It's Monday". A couple of minutes later I would ask him "What day is it?" and he would not have the answer. He would just say "I don't know". Kimmy was listening to all this and she said that he was Dori off of Finding Nemo. He's a good sport.

It's 10:45 and I came back from taking a shower at home so Teresa and Kimmy could go home. When I came in he asked what day he gets to go home, for the 15th time and I said "right now either Thursday or Friday". He then said "Isn't today Monday?". He remembered, just in time for it to be Tuesday. I asked him what procedures happened today and he recalled having an MRI. He is already losing his "Dori ness".

Thought you would enjoy a little humor.

I will post another in a few minutes that I've been thinking about for the last couple of hours.

Smiling at my sweet guy,
Chuck

Weinbergs,

I have just finished reading the blog posts and I too will be praying for you all. Thankful for this reminder, "what a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear." I'm so glad to hear of Grant's improvement and look forward to rejoicing with you all as God continues to show His mighty hand at work.

Finding Nemo is mine and Leila's first date movie. Praise God that Grant is losing his Doriness.

Chuck, I know I said this earlier, but playing basketball with Garrett tonight made realize even more, how much I love you guys. God has been good to me and my wife by giving us such a wonderful family and you are a huge part of our family. I love your boys and Kimmy is such a wonderful and godly woman. Teresa is almost my second favorite woman in the world. My wife is first, but Teresa is tied with a very select few. She is a great mother and wife. My wife looks up to her so much and even more now. You Chuck have been such an awesome example of a father, husband, and a man. In many ways you have been a dad to me and mentor. You have helped shape who I am now. God is growing you so much and your growth overflowing onto the rest of us. I am so glad I was able to spend some time with you at the Shepherd's conference this year and am looking forward to many more days to spend with you and the family. I love you Chuck, and your wife, Kimmy, Grant, and Garrett. You have infected my heart and through the Holy Spirit there will be no cure.
This perfectly God ordained and planned situation has taught me many things, but most importantly to pray for others and pray with faith because God is good.

As the gals tonight were enjoying some sweet fellowship (don't worry Teresa, we didn't watch the movie - we'll wait for you!), we were actually joking about Grant's memory and how he reminded us of Dorey. I don't want him to lose any of Dorey's sweetness, though.
