Luke 12:32 "Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
What a gentle Shepherd is our God. I was reading along and hit this verse and I just had to stop. Jesus had just been talking about worrying and storing up treasures on earth and He turns around and encourages them with, "Don't fear" to add to the "Don't worry".
Jesus is talking to His sheep, the disciples, and what an encouragement this must have been. For Jesus, the Son of God, to say, "Fear not, little flock" is such a kind way for The Great Shepherd and The Lamb of Calvary to address His followers.
Even in this short verse He directs the glory, of giving, to the Father. He could have said, "It is My pleasure to give you the Kingdom", but instead He differs to the Father.
What a day it will be when we arrive in the verdant pastures of Heaven and rest forever under His eternal care, with no more sin and striving after wind, just glorious worship of the King of Kings. I vote for today:)
